And Finally! NSD Circleville Challenge: Did-I-MENSION

Hi friends and fellow crafters. As NSD week of challenges comes to a close, I couldn't resist entering one more challenge. Rockin' Renee challenged us to grab a cartridge and make a 3D object/box. Her blog, I Came, I Saw, I Created has some of the most unique boxes and paper art on it. It is a delightful blog and Renee has some great tutorials there. Stop by her blog and see for yourself!

I was looking at this box for the longest time on Artiste, trying to figure out what is was all about. LOL!
It's on page 65 of the handbook.

It is a perfect box for a place card holder, or for a picture pick. I made it for my Mother In Law as a little extra with her Mother's Day Present. She was at a camper this weekend, so we will be seeing her on Tuesday. I may switch out the banner and get a floral pick that holds the cards, then put her gift card in it.

I altered it just a little bit. I used Graphic 45 French Country Papers on it. The paper has a great design, but the flower stamen didn't look right, so I cut a second box from CTMH Dotty For You Yellow paper and cut the stamen off. I inked them, then adhered them to the Graphic 45 paper.

Instead of just 1 flower, I used the CCR and created 3 flowers in 3 sizes. I layered them and glued them together. I inked them, then sprayed them with Smooch Gold Spray. Using a paint brush, I rounded them and shaped them. When they were dry, I used Ranger Glossy Accents and MS Coarse Glitter to add some sparkle to the edges.

I like the results.

So there it is, the final challenge project!
