Happy Easter!

Happy Easter To All My Friends!
Today I am sharing my Great Nephew's Easter Card. Our little guy is a big Angry Birds fan. I made him a sign for his room that I will be posting later this week and a card featuring Matilda, the white bird.

This was a fun card to put together. I found Angry Bird SVGs at The Lady Wolf. She has an awesome blog! You can't have an Easter card for a little fellow without a bunny, but Matilda refused to share the spotlight, so I donned her in a cute pair of bunny ears I found by searching my images in Design Space. The ears come from an image on Trick Or Treat.

Once again, I used clouds from Paper pups and grass from Ribbons and Rosettes. The eggs are from the CCR Easter set and the flowers are from Martha Stewart's All Occasion Cartridge.

I used the Happy Easter sentiment from the Cricut Craft Room Classroom Set, April/May. The font for CJ's initials are from Birthday Bash. I was very happy to hear that he liked the card when he received it!

I am loving the fact that I can blend SVGs and my Cricut images together to create fun cards and projects. The Explore has made me one happy crafter! I am entering my card in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge this week.

Narelle's Pinterest Party!

Hi friends and fellow crafters! Today I am sharing a project I made based on my pin from Creative Me, Inspired By You that I pinned on to my board at Pinterest called Ideas For Kaylee. Cricut Circle members and Cricut Blog followers might remember Kristen Swain from the Cricut Design team. I always loved her beautiful frilly designs and finally have a chance to re-create some of them! Here is Kristen Swain's Easter Basket

We have waited a lifetime for a baby girl in our family, so my great niece Kaylee is going to be quite spoiled. I am super excited because I finally get to make lots of girly girl things! After 4 nephews and 1 son, this is truly a treat for me!

Last week, I pinned a her beautiful Easter Basket decorated with tulle. I spent a couple of hours today creating my own version of the basket for Kaylee's 1st Easter. Here is my finished basket.

I decided to use different colors of tulle and while Kristen's created her own handle, I took the easy way out and used a basket with a handle. LOL! Kristen gives great directions on how to use create the skirt. It was fun and easy. I may even try to make an actual tutu for my niece now. LOL!

I wrapped some pretty tulle around the handle and added a tulle bow that I made.

Above is a close up of the skirt.

In the basket is a cute little photo album that I filled with recent photos of Kaylee for her Mom. I also added the bottoms to an extra outfit I ordered for Kaylee's 1st birthday from Mud Pie. The onsie that comes with the bottoms is wrapped on a hanger and was too big to put in the basket. I almost took it out, but decided that since the baby's birthday isn't until July, it was better off wrapped. Finally I placed the cutest pair of Converse Chuck Taylor's in the basket. Even the box they came in was cute!

Look how little it is!

It was fun to actually take a project that I have pinned and recreate it. Why not check out Narelle's blog and join the party!

It's Kaylee's 1st Easter!

Hi friends and fellow crafters! My sweet, sweet great niece is celebrating her first Easter! She has brought so much joy to our lives! I wanted to make a very special card for her. I have had the Disney Classics Cartridge for a very long time and this was the perfect chance to finally use it! Naturally, I chose Thumper for Kaylee's card. Cutting all the tiny pieces with my Explore was so fun. I love that I can cut very small pieces with no tears, or tears. See what I did there? LOL! The butterflies are so tiny on this card. They are all a round .62 inches. So you can imagine how tiny and thin the layers were for them. Mostly everything on the card is from the Disney Classics Cartridge.  The clouds are from Paper Pups, the eggs are from the CCR Easter set, the grass is Ribbons and Rosettes, and the label is from a search in the Design Space. I think it may be CTMH Art Philosophy, but I am not sure.

Here is a close up of Thumper.

That is one cute little bunny!

I seriously love the ability to write on my projects with the Explore. It made it so simple to personalize my card.

I am so happy my boys ( my nephews) are beginning their own families. I love the fact that our family is growing and we have little ones to spoil again!

I am entering this card into the Easter Card Challenge at Cardz TV
